BANFID RIZZOLI (Spice)
Ballymac Rebound x Darkdesert Oasis
May 2012
Spice has definately outperformed her price tag and is the first of our dogs to race under the Banfid prefix and win an open race. She decided to win her open race in style breaking the 670m Newcastle clock in the process.
We got her after earmarking at 10 weeks old and although she's a little shy she has a lovely nature and takes everything race related in her stride.
She's had a few decent wins including an amazing eleven and three quarter length win in 38.69 from the back box in a handicap at Newcastle over 640m. The track record from levels is 38.61.
She followed this up with a win for the newcastle team in the 2014 bags track championship home leg.
Spice is now retired after not holding up on her return from a tendon injury is and living at home with us she will hopefully be bred with Sir Rhino one of our other dogs when she comes in season.
She was reared with her half sister sugar at Jim Dignalls kennels in Lanarkshire and rcaed at Newcastle and on the open race circuit with Gary Carmichael.
